July 4th, 2025, Mark Su for Congress proudly joined the Skokie City Independence Day Parade from noon to 2 p.m., celebrating with community members in the heart of Illinois’ 9th Congressional District. Mark Su is running to represent the 9th District in the 2026 midterm election, bringing fresh leadership and a bold vision for change.

Nearly 80 groups participated in the parade, including Skokie city organizations, local businesses, community associations, and groups from Chicago and surrounding areas. More than 10,000 Skokie residents and visitors lined the nearly two-mile parade route through downtown Skokie to enjoy the festivities.

Mark Su and the Mark Su for Congress campaign team proudly marched as entry #64 in the lineup, featuring a decorated vehicle adorned with American flags and campaign posters reading “Mark Su for Skokie” and “Mark Su for Congress.” Throughout the parade, the team played patriotic music, engaged with the crowd, and greeted attendees with energy and enthusiasm.


Mark Su greeted and shook hands with Skokie residents along the parade route, sharing his message of community and pride. Wishing many Skokie citizens a happy 4th of July and and sharing words of making Skokie great, any attendees warmly responded, shaking hands with Mark and showing their support for the campaign.


During the parade, Mark Su also met and greet with other election candidates for the district, include state and congress candidates which attended parade.

The Skokie July 4th Parade Committee organized a fantastic event this year, featuring lively performances, great weather, and strong community spirit. Thousands of Skokie residents came out to enjoy the celebration, making it a memorable and joyful start to the Independence Day weekend.
Just west of Skokie lies Morton Grove, also part of Illinois’ 9th Congressional District. The village hosted a vibrant Independence Day parade along Dempster Street, beginning at 2:30 p.m. The Mark Su for Congress team joined the crowd as proud parade attendees, taking the opportunity to meet residents, engage with families, and greet the citizens of Morton Grove with enthusiasm and appreciation.


Mark Su for Congress will continue to attend community events across the 9th Congressional District in the months ahead—including in Rogers Park, where he has proudly lived for 26 years, as well as in Edgewater, Uptown, and throughout the northern and western suburbs. Mark Su is committed to connecting with voters, listening to their concerns, and delivering a message of unity and progress.
